Value Delivered

EMCOR Construction Services Midwest provided HVAC and lighting systems upgrades for Wapahani High School, in a multi-phase project focused on improving efficiency.

The project featured a number of state-of-the-art building controls upgrades. A new energy management system (EMS) was installed, along with a BACnet building automation system (BAS) enhanced by web client software that can interface with the school’s intranet. These upgrades will allow for new operations sequencing aimed at saving energy, such as optimum start/stop times, night setback, holiday scheduling, occupancy control, demand ventilation, and hot water/chilled water resets.

The completed project is projected to generate $230,891 in energy savings each year for 15 years for a total of $3,463,365. This would pay for the entire project with an additional $1 million in savings.
