Client Objectives
The school district wanted to modernize Parkwood Elementary School and promote efficiency by installing new mechanical equipment and making additional infrastructure improvements.

ECS Midwest installed two high efficiency condensing boilers, a new air-cooled chiller, and primary dual temperature variable volume centrifugal pumps. The system utilizes a 2-pipe dual temperature piping distribution system to serve new vertical unit ventilators installed in the classroom spaces and a new gymnasium heating/cooling/air handling unit.
In addition, CO2 sensors were installed in each of the classrooms, and we upgraded windows throughout the facility.
Client Background
Parkwood Elementary is part of the Greater Clark County Schools district. It is the twenty-first largest school district in the state, serving approximately 11,000 students.
