EMCOR Construction Services Midwest provided energy-efficient HVAC, lighting, and energy management solutions that helped three Flat Rock-Hawcreek School Corporation schools improve building comfort, increase energy efficiency, and lower operating costs.
Based on our analysis of potential energy-saving solutions, we recommended technologies to achieve the school’s goals. Performing the work under a guaranteed energy savings contract, we were able to guarantee energy savings of $164,467 over 10 years. Our client reached that goal in seven years, saving more than $181,000 by the end of the eighth year.
We also helped the school finance its investment in energy savings through a third-party financing package that spread payments over 10 years, enabling the savings to help pay for the upgrades.
Overall, our services contributed to a 17 percent reduction in energy consumption while improving building comfort, lowering operating costs, and delivering ongoing economies, efficiencies, and investment returns.
