Value Delivered
EMCOR Construction Services Midwest upgraded the HVAC system and windows at Greensburg Junior-Senior High School, helping improve energy efficiency. The school district is projected to receive annual savings of $227,555 for 10 years, totaling $2,275,550.
Client Objectives
The high school building at Greensburg Community Schools had an antiquated steam HVAC system. The school wanted to upgrade that system and make additional improvements in an effort to lower their energy costs.
Solutions
In the past, the school district had worked with us on projects utilizing a design-build model. For this project, we instead leveraged one of our Guaranteed Savings Contracts, using this approach to help them finance the work and enhance savings.
Under that contract, we replaced the school’s outdated steam convection heating system and packaged terminal air conditioning unit with a new state-of-the-art HVAC system, as well as cutting-edge controls. Additionally, we replaced windows throughout the facility to further promote efficiency.
Client Background
Greensburg Community Schools serves roughly 2,000 students across Decatur County, IN.
