Value Delivered

EMCOR Construction Services Midwest provided energy efficiency and HVAC equipment upgrades at Shelbyville Middle School.

The project’s standout improvements included two new, cutting-edge boilers aimed at improving efficiency, as well as temperature and pressure sensors to help monitor and control the sequence of operations throughout the system. Additionally, multiple new chilled water units feature fresh air economizers that pull in outside air for “free” cooling.

Within a decade, the projected annual energy savings from the upgrades are expected to cover well over the cost of the entire project.
