Fountain Central, VEEDERSBURG, IN
Southeast Fountain Community School Corporation wanted to reduce energy consumption and demand while improving the infrastructure and minimizing operational and maintenance costs across the entire energy and operations architecture for their high school.
ECS Midwest was able to deliver projected annual savings of $168,138.00 for 10 years, totaling $1,681,380.00.
The upgrades and remodels performed by ECS Midwest were focused on Fountain Central High School:
In 1963, eighty acres of land were purchased as near as possible to the geographic center of the five township area for the high school; this being north of Highway 136 about a mile east of Highway 41. A ground breaking ceremony was held August 2, 1964, with the new facility being opened in the fall of 1965, complete with cafeteria and gymnasium. The upper six grades attended this new Fountain Central High School. Athletic fields and workshop buildings were added at later dates.
